A graduate of Boston Shaitsu School, Michael received his training from renowned Master Kikuko Miyazaki. His training included: Shiatsu, Deep Tissue and Swedish Massage, as well as Tai Chi Chuan and Qi Gong.
Tai Chi is a martial arts system which focuses more on the internal person, utilizing the natural, relaxed movements of the individual rather than external force. Tai Chi increases relaxation and flexibility and improves posture while developing a self-defense skill set.
Qi Gong is a refined system of meditation, breathing and exercise which focuses on the cultivation of Qi. Qi Gong is a simple, effective method to alleviate stress, strengthen the immune system and enhance the mind-body connection.
Michael specializes in treating neck, shoulder, and back pain and has developed a unique style of massage by applying the knowledge and experience he has aquired via his Shaitsu, Tai Chi and Qi Gong training. His approach addresses both the muscle level of the body as well as ones energetic systems.
Michael also offers private Qi Gong and Meditation lessons.
